About Murder

Murder is a timing-based stealth game in which you watch a king and choose when it is safe to act behind him. The important information is his attention: an opportunity can disappear when he turns around. Acting continuously is risky, so learn the relationship between his movement and your own action before trying to finish an attempt quickly. Start the player and follow its displayed input instructions. During the first few attempts, concentrate on recognizing when to stop as well as when to begin. A deliberate pause can preserve an opportunity that an impatient extra moment would spoil.

How to Play

Read the action prompt in the player. Watch the king before beginning, act while his attention is elsewhere, and stop when he turns to look. Use each attempt to refine the timing between observation and action.

  • Watch the king’s movement instead of focusing only on your progress.
  • Learn the stopping timing before trying to act for longer.
  • Avoid immediately repeating an input after the king changes direction.
  • Treat an interrupted attempt as information about his attention cues.

Quick Answers

What kind of game is Murder?

It is a timing and stealth challenge centered on acting while the king is not watching.

Why does an attempt fail when he turns?

An action that was safe while he looked away can expose you when his attention returns.

What should I learn first?

Learn when to stop the action. Continuing slightly too long can undo otherwise careful timing.
